The Story Behind Our Scottish Milk: The Dalswinton Estate

Why We Talk About Where Our Milk Comes From

It’s easy to forget that ice cream starts life as milk on a farm. For us, that farm is the Dalswinton Estate, near Dumfries in south west Scotland, and it’s the reason we can call Cream o’ Galloway a genuinely Scottish brand.

We combine that milk with cream and a dash of sugar, then whip in a minimum of air to create the traditional dairy ice cream our customers know. Simple ingredients, done properly, starting with milk sourced from Scotland.

The Dalswinton Estate

This is where the Dalswinton story really comes to life, and it deserves to be told properly rather than summarised here. Once Bill’s copy and photos are ready, this section will carry the full story of the estate and the milk it produces.

More of This Story to Come

We’ve started sharing glimpses of the Dalswinton story on social media, and this is the first of more content to come as we tell it properly on our website too.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see more of the estate in the meantime, and keep an eye on our Dalswinton Estate page as the full story is added.
