The key to making great ice cream is high quality milk and high quality cream and this is where Dalswinton and the Farming partners excel, producing milk with a high butterfat content that enables to produce the rich, creamy ice cream.
Secondly, animal welfare is at the forefront of all decisions, with a spring-calving system that follows the natural farming cycle, with a well earned rest over winter. The herd receives the highest level of care and attention that they deserve.
The third key area is the management of the grass, which is a foundation of the Farming Partners system. By maximising the growth and utilisation of high-quality pasture for as long as possible in the year, the business produces excellent milk efficiently and sustainably, making the most of nature’s resources.
