Apart from ice cream of course, the most popular choice in our tearoom is a burger. Not just any old burger, but a hand made burger made with beef from our own organic farm. We also serve venison burgers, made from local wild venison. For those who prefer not to eat meat, we've created our own deliciously spicy veggie burger. And to top it all off, you can choose your toppings of organic cheese, mango salsa or our own chilli mince to name just a few. When in season, we buy our fresh produce from Jim who works on the farm and grows fantastic salads & vegetables in a couple of polytunnels here at Rainton. Harvested daily about half a mile from the visitor centre, they couldn't be fresher. Galloway Lodge Preserves supply jams, pickles and mustards that we use in our menu. We sell a wide selection from their range in our shop. Very tasty indeed. We also sell fabulous beers produced by Sulwath Brewery based in Castle Douglas just 15 miles, and wonderful Cairn o' mohr wines made by Judith & Ron in Perthshire. Judith is one of the Finlay Family and spent her childhood here at Rainton. We're very happy to say we now sell fresh loaves of Wigwam bread, made just down the road in Creetown. Come in at the weekend to pick up a delicious hand made loaf.
