Our small shop stocks a range of food and drink for you to enjoy as a snack at Cream o’ Galloway or for you to buy and take away, from yogurts, fruit and cans of juice to biscuits, beer and loaves of bread!

We are passionate about using and stocking local foods at Cream o’ Galloway, and it’s no wonder when we have such quality food and drink produced within a few miles.  Galloway Lodge Preserves supply us with the jams, pickles and mustards that we use in our menu and we have a wide selection from their range for sale in our shop.

The full flavoured organic cheese from Loch Arthur Creamery is available in our shop, alongside the deliciously different Galloway Farmhouse Cheese’s Ewe’s Milk cheese.  Fresh loaves of rustic Wigwam bread are now available to buy too.  They are hand made just down the road in Creetown and this small bakery now has quite a following.

We also sell fabulous beers produced by Sulwath Brewery based in Castle Douglas and wonderful Cairn o’Mohr wines made by Judith and Ron in Perthshire. Judith is one of the Finlay family and spent her childhood here at Rainton.

From time to time we also have Rainton fillet steak available from our own organic herd – have a look in our freezers for frozen fillets next time you visit
