Only for the brave and the bold!  You’ll be carefully lowered into a dark 6 foot tall barrel, tentatively standing on the metal grill at the bottom of the barrel waiting... waiting... waiting... before hurtling in the barrel down into the darkness of this vertical drop slide.  You’ll feel the wind rushing past you as you plummet downwards, your breath catching in your throat at the thrill of it before emerging back into the daylight down beside the kart track.

Having started almost upright you slide downwards and forwards, coming to a rest in a safe horizontal position.  The sensory deprivations of Down the Hatch makes the 5 second plunge feel much, much longer.  If you’re brave you can keep your eyes open to see the ground rushing up to meet you as you look through the grill at the bottom of the barrel – go on, we dare you to try!

 Minimum age requirement:  You must be at least 5 years old to go on the Down the Hatch slide.
