Karts

kartingSitting back, low to the ground, pedalling fast, through the tunnel, up a slope, pedalling hard, too hard perhaps, hairpin bend – arrgghh!!!  The Cream o’ Galloway pedal karts and adventure track are hugely popular with visitors of all ages (and especially Dads) and with our new multi storey track there are even more thrills to be had.

The speed of the karts when you’re sitting in them might take you by surprise which is why we insist on a full safety briefing before you start your ride.  We’ll show you where the brake is and how it works, make sure the kart is set up correctly for you and we’ll give you some hints and tips to help you have fun.

altMost visitors trying the karts buy a Slides & Karts pass which gives multi access to the karts.  Each ride will still be limited to 15 minutes and then you are free to rejoin the queue (if there is a queue).  Fifteen minutes might not sound long but after that length of time you really do need a breather.

The pedal karts are suitable for people from around age 6 or 7 upwards, depending on the length and the power of your legs!  The only restriction to using the karts is that children should be able to reach the pedals and have enough strength to get up the slopes.  If children are too small it may be possible for an accompanying adult to take them as a passenger on one of the tandem karts.
